Who We Are

The LWRC is a 501(c)(7) non-profit, community service-oriented organization focused on promoting, supporting and preserving the many outdoor recreation activities in the Lake Wenatchee (Washington) area.

The club sponsors a variety of activities including snowmobile rides (club rides, Poker runs, geocaching), Dual Sport motorcycle rides, fishing derbies, flea market, game nights, and more!

The clubhouse at the Lake Wenatchee airstrip is available to rent.  Contact us to ask about availability and pricing.

Who We Are

Membership dues help pay the operating expenses for the clubhouse.  Members receive regular e-mails on what's happening at the LWRC, receive reduced clubhouse rental rates and are provided with a permit to park for free in our lot year-round (day use only - overnighters can camp at the Sno-Park near the west end of the airstrip or other nearby campgrounds).

Many of our members also provide us with cash donations.

THANK YOU members for your ongoing support and commitment to our cause.

Jim Leo Memorial Scholarship

Jim Leo - consummate professional; ultimate volunteer

Jim Leo worked for the Everett Herald for over 47 years and was considered one of the top photojournalists in Washington State. He mentored several Everett-area photographers who became outstanding photojournalists in their respective communities.

Jim spent many years covering search and rescue efforts in Snohomish County, ultimately becoming a search and rescue volunteer. Ken Lakey, president of Snohomish County Search & Rescue, said that “Jim joined other volunteers to help those lost or hurt, often putting down his camera to aid those in need.”

For over 25 years, Jim was an outstanding volunteer for the LWRC, photographing many club events and producing the club’s newsletter.

Jim was also a volunteer for search and rescue in the Lake Wenatchee area and was the club’s search and rescue “guru.”  He was instrumental in setting up a communication center based in the LWRC building.

We are proud to honor Jim's commitment to the LWRC and the Lake Wenatchee community by offering the Jim Leo Memorial Scholarship.

Jim Leo Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship is available to Cascade High School seniors, local home-schooled students, and children/grandchildren of LWRC members (all students must be in good standing).  Click on the Documents page to find the scholarship application.
